The Midwest Friends of The LAM Foundation would like to express our deepest gratitude to all of our attendees, donors, sponsors, family and friends for making our 4th Annual "A Breath of Hope" charity benefit, "glitter. glitz. gLAM!" another stunning success. On Saturday, November 12, with your help we raised over $100,000. The net proceeds will go to The LAM Foundation to help fund critical research, including studies to find specific biomarkers for LAM that will serve as a platform for future drug trials. It was a wonderful evening shared by all.

2009 "A Breath of Hope" Silent & Live Auction
The 2nd Annual Midwest Friends of LAM A Breath of Hope Charity Benefit on November 7, 2009 raised approximately $75,000 for The LAM Foundation!  More than 200 people attended this sold out event at the Lumen Nightclub in Chicago, and enjoyed hors d'oeuvres and cocktails while bidding on a wide range of silent auction items. The event was sponsored by Office Max in addition to several other key partners that made the evening a success.

Guest of honor, Dr. Frank McCormack, was on hand for a presentation on LAM research, and the evening closed with a high energy live auction featuring unique items such as Florida vacation escapes, Spring Training with the Cubs and swanky private dinners to name a few.

Thank you to our many sponsors, friends, supporters and family for their time, energy and overall commitment to our event each year.  Your contributions are essential to finding a cure for LAM.

On September 12th 2009, Brad and Karen St. Louis hosted the first annual Breathe Easy Adventure Race (B.E.A.R.) at Proud Lake Recreation Area in Wixom, Michigan, to raise money for The LAM Foundation.  The B.E.A.R. included twenty-two racers that navigated their way through five challenging and fun hours of trail running, mountain biking and canoeing, raising a total of $1,200!

A HUGE thank you to Karen and Brad - your many months of hard work and dedication made the first B.E.A.R. a great success!
